Just Breathe in Care of Cancer Launches First Cancer Patient Support Group in Mossel Bay
We are excited to announce the successful launch of Just Breathe in Care of Cancer’s first Cancer Patient Support Group in Mossel Bay in October! This is a significant step forward in our commitment to providing support, education, and community for cancer patients and survivors.

The inaugural session was filled with learning, laughter, and connection. Attendees were allowed to discuss the facts about cancer, share their thoughts on what they hope to gain from the group and form meaningful friendships. Their input will shape the group’s direction, ensuring it meets the needs of all members.

A standout moment was Elana Botes’ interactive session, which took the form of a “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” game! This fun and engaging activity helped dispel myths and clarify the facts about cancer treatment, all while resonating deeply with the audience. The game added an element of fun to the learning process and was a hit among the participants.

We’d also like to give a special thank you to Dr. Arnel Huisamen, who facilitated the session with expertise and care. Her leadership created a warm and supportive environment, making everyone feel comfortable as they shared and learned.

Launching this support group is a proud achievement for Just Breathe in Care of Cancer, and we are excited to see it grow into a space of hope, support, and friendship for cancer patients and survivors in Mossel Bay. The support group meets once a month.
